Career Enhancement

Enhancing the training and career development of our workforce is an integral part of maintaining the excellence of the O’Neal Cancer Center. Our faculty and staff have access to a variety of resources across UAB and UAB Medicine and are encouraged to continue to enhance their communication, mentorship, and leadership skills by participating in self-directed learning opportunities through curated resources provided by UAB through LinkedIn Learning. The O’Neal Cancer Center also sponsors members to participate in cohort-based leadership development courses through the Heersink School of Medicine Leadership Development Office. These tailored programs help grow our leadership teams and maintain the high-performing clinical and research teams within the O’Neal Cancer Center. A list of resources is provided in the PDF.

In addition, the O’Neal Cancer Center will partner with you to develop a tailored curriculum of career and professional development courses to help foster the development of our cancer workforce and sustain our success as a leader in oncology research.
