Preparing for Your Visit

What to Bring for your Visit

We encourage you to come prepared with a few items for your physical and emotional comfort, such as:

  • Photo ID and insurance cards
  • Any test results, X-rays, slides, and other information related to your diagnosis. Request these from the doctor who made the diagnosis. Please make sure to bring a CD of imaging studies.
  • A notebook to record information from your care team and write down questions you might have during your visit
  • Comfortable, layered clothes; temperatures can vary within the facility
  • Any legal paperwork that might be pertinent to your care, such as power of attorney, advance directive, living will, etc.
  • Money for parking and incidentals
  • If you are on oxygen, please ensure that you have sufficient oxygen for your travel and visit with us.
Travel and Lodging Options During your Visit
Lodging

Comprehensive care includes making sure that you have travel accommodations during treatments and visits. We help arrange lodging assistance through several American Cancer Society programs and by applying our own local hotel partnerships. We will help you identify the best fit depending on your needs – travel expense will not stand in the way of cutting-edge treatment.
