American Society of Clinical Oncology Report

UAB was well represented at one of the signature oncology conferences this year, ASCO, held in Chicago, Illinois, from May 31–June 4.

Below is a list of all the activity and presentations we were aware of by our faculty and outstanding fellows.

Katia Khoury, M.D.: chaired the Breast Cancer-Local/Regional/Adjuvant oral abstract session as co-moderator; was co-author on an oral abstract presentation in the metastatic breast cancer session: A phase 2 study of HER3-DXd in patients (pts) with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Abstract 1004; and was co-author on a poster in the Symptoms and Survivorship poster session: Cardiac dysfunction (CD) among breast cancer survivors (BCS): Role of cardiotoxic therapy and cardiovascular risk factors. Abstract 12078

Maya Khalil, M.D.: was co-author Talazoparib (Tala) in patients (pts) with solid tumors with BRCA1/2 mutation (mut): Results from the Targeted Agent and Profiling Utilization Registry (TAPUR) study; Co-author Exploring the potential of combination immune checkpoint strategies in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Gabrielle Rocque, M.D.: chaired the discussion Payment Reform: Lessons Learned From the Oncology Care Model and Implications for the Enhancing Oncology Model.
